I'm absolutely dying for a massage.

I assume I can get one *somewhere* in Busan, but I don't know how to ask around.

Anyone know where to go? How much do they cost? Anyone able to recommend someone good?

Just look for the signs that say sports massage in Korean. Like this: 스포츠 마사지. They usually hook it up and leave you feeling happy at the end.

Sigh.. no self-control, I know, I know..

huh?

Errr...

FYI I'm female. I'm not looking for a hooker. That's the other reason I didn't want to go asking around down town... cuz even in the USA there's a distinction between "Masseuse" and "Massage Therapist"

their are legit sport massage places and "happy" sport massage places. Unfortunately, they look exactly the same. Same goes for anmas....
Your best bet is to look for a thai massage place.

Just go down to the Heosimcheong Spa. It's reportedly the largest hot spa in Asia. Anyhow, it's open between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm. Admission is around 10,000 won, depending on the time you go. Massages and exfoliating services are available for an additional fee. I don't know the exact location, but it's about 15 minutes from the Oncheonjang train station and the base of the cable car.

There are anmas which aren't "happy"? I was under the impression that they all provided fun for 150k+

But the OP should look for a thai massage fancy looking joint, they are usually legit.

Also if you go to a jjimjilbang then they usually have sports massage which is just a massage too. And they make you feel great =)

This is in Busan, by the way.

The Thai massage places are all legit. Try looking for 타이 마사지.

I'm pretty good. I won't try to have sex with you either. Trade you a massage for a long walk and some ball play?

Any suggestions for places in Daegu? Same deal: not looking for any "happy" surprises. I'm just a female with a messed up back.

I've been trained as an RMT, but haven't been practising for several years. Anyway, I'm up in Seoul. Too far.

Well, as a male, I can understand those barber pole places, but I am restraining myself. Anyway, it is better to have a local girlfriend rather than shell 150,000 for 30 minutes of fun or not fun, depending on the girl you get who will have no attachment to you. Anyway, that is another subject:)

I would not mind a Thai massage. I heard they are therapeutic. Where can one get one in Seoul? I am not very far from Seoul. How much do they cost and what is involved? What are its benefits?

Than you....
