As I'm sure everyone has noticed, before you can reach the steel cage there is a boardwalk with a wooden handrailing and then a chainlink fence, both about 3.5' high. I'd say the distance between the cage and the boardwalk looks to be more than 8'.
At the beginning of the clip the narrator says she "wandered too close to the cage". How does one 'wander' over two fences?
And later, being interviewed from her bed, she says "leaning backwards was the stupidest thing I've ever done." No kidding, especially since you would have had to have done it twice.
I say remove the cage to give people extra incentive to be careful, and give the bears a fairer shot at an extra dessert if they aren't. |
