I work about a two minute walk from where the fire was, and it's along my daily walk to work.
It was quite a crazy day. All the buildings are so close together here, so my boss ran outside to see where it was exactly, to make sure the children didn't have to be evacuated.
The fire started around 4pm on Wednesday, and even today there are still police guarding the building.
Quite an ordeal.
Can't believe someone did it deliberately.
Makes me sick. |

When the fire spread to the entire building, he climbed up a ladder and saved his girlfriend and another person at the lodging house.

Arsonist Held for Killing 8
... The woman, also identified only by her first name Choi, admitted that she tried to avoid Chung. "I had already borrowed 15 million won from him and I thought the only way to borrow more would be teasing him by not seeing him," said Choi, according to the police.
Chung said he drank at a bar with his ex-wife before returning to his karaoke room and setting fire to the sofa. However, he said he did not intend to set the whole building on fire. When the flames arose, Chung used a ladder to save Choi and her friend, who was living inside the building.
