Okay, so you've saved up a decent amount of dough in Korea and you're ready to go home.
Which bank do you put your money in?
I need a recommendation because right now I am banking with TD Canada Trust and all I can say is that they're horrible. I've been told that I was being ripped off royally on my line of credit (thank God that's paid off). The interest they were charging me was well above average.
I've heard good things about ING bank. What do you think? |

I have had an ING account for 6 years. They are a decent bank, but they aren't really a normal bank. You still need to have a regular account. Also, you can ONLY use their bank machines which are only in Canadian Tire. What happens is you transfer money there from your other account and then it just sits there and gets interest at 2.75% (I think). You can transfer money as often as you want, but it takes one to 3 business days each time. I would say they are a good second bank to use and to let your money sit there as it isn't locked in. |

I would say none. Everyone has a horror story about one of the chartered banks. I'm sure... no wait I'm not even sure... there is some state about customer satisfaction levels. |

I'm with a credit union. I haven't been in Canada for a while but last time I checked I was paying a lot less in fees than I would have been with a regular bank. |

PC financial, which is at Superstore and is a division of CIBC. There are no service charges for regular banking. Withdrawls, deposits, transfers, no service charge as long as you use CIBC machines ,which are everywhere. Service charges are for suckers! |

Superman Returns would have been so much better had Jim Caviezel portrayed the Man of Steel.

Interesting...the man of Steel meets the man of nails...in his feet and hands. |
