The monsoon season ends in July. August is usually humid. But, not just humid. I mean humid.
Humid, humid, more humid, and sticky.

Not much wind to help the situation, either.

Humid.

Some good advice before you come to Korea.
Take everything said by Koreans with a huge grain of salt. Often what they say about their country ranges from a slight exaggeration to total B.S.

In the case of weather, they'll tell you how Daegu is so much hotter than the rest of the country. Nonsense. Maybe it is 1 or 2 degress hotter. But I doubt it will make a difference to you in August because the whole country is very very hot - maybe 33 ~ 35c. Believe me, you won't notice the difference between Daegu and elsewhere. It will be too hot wherever you go. Find the nearest convenience store to your house and stock up on beer.

1) Daegu has the hottest and sweatiest summers in Korea. The surrounding mountains lock in the heat.

It's also pretty cold here during the winter. I'd recommend bring a nice winter coat. From what people have said they are expensive to buy here.

While your at it, if you like wearing gloves when it's cold that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

From what I remember Daegu was pretty darn hot. Although the humidity is bad pretty much everywhere in Korea during the summer.

It is hot and the humidity makes it feel ten times hotter. I was born in Calif. and lived in India too and this heat is different. But you will live-bring gauzy 'thinnish' tops-but ones that are not too revealing, bring pants and skirts that breathe-100% cotton-cuz let me tell you there is alot of polyester and basically sh***y quality clothes compared to Canada and they are not necessarily inexpensive either.

'Let's talk about sweat baby'
'Let's talk about humidity'
'Let's talk about just how sweaty you will be'
'Lets talk about sweat, lets talk about sweat'

sung to lets talk about sex Very Happy
