Yesterday morning was the start of our summer camp. I made the mistake of asking for a time schedule. After listening to 3 people babble on and on and writing up different schedules, they finally agreed what time my classes start and stop.
(It was slightly less hassle getting a class list. That only took 10 minutes.) |

Just as I'm heading to the elevator last night the new guy told me I had a class the next day 2 hours earlier in the day, at 2:30. That he didn't wait until 2:30 that day I considered a remarkable display of advanced planning on the part of a Korean. That's always fun. Having someone bang on your door while you're in your underwear or something... (I did miss my elevator.)
My latest example of "maybe you people could all learn by my example" is Dunkin' Donuts. Friday nights I'll pop around there after work. Lately, they have no donuts, even though it's 9:30 pm on a Friday night, they close at 11 pm, the place is quite busy, and it's in a high traffic area. Maybe stock up? You know? You think Corporate would be like "hrm... we've noticed the last two hours of your sales are like JUST coffee... odd for a place with 'donut' in the name."
But no.
Anyway, I realized what I have to do is plan in advance. I buy my donuts in the afternoon at another Dunkin' Donuts and then just bring them to the Friday night Dunkin Donuts. It must look pretty funny the shelves being bare of donuts and I'm munching away on donuts. But f'k em I say. How can a place with floor space no bigger than what some restaurants devote to their washroom space have 5 employees on duty and not a single bloody donut on the shelf? |

Don't worry about it. Just use it to your advantage.
Their lack of forward sight allows us to get extensions when we want, obne day jobs with sweet pay, contract renewals with good terms, etc. It's either give us what we want, or see the back of us. |
