Eighty-three isn't particularly old -- plenty of people are still alive at that age, but unfortunately many of them have serious health problems. Bob Barker seems to feel that his vegetarian lifestyle has helped him remain active and healthy and I think he's probably right. But if you read a bit more carefully, it does say that that wasn't his main motive for making the switch. The fact that his wife died, even at a young age, is no reason for Barker not to follow her good example and acknowledge her influence.

Good for the fish. Anyway, if you have to call me names maybe you don't have much of an argument behind your position (whatever it is).

I'm not arguing anything. Just pointing out the irony in Rteacher's post. I am not arguing against vegetarianism or animal rights, just you. Where did I fight against those things? There is no argument here, you are just in normal PETA persecution mode. Idiot.

I never "persecuted" you, you insulted me for no reason after I pointed out the flaw in your logic. There's no irony in Rteacher's post unless "healthy choice" = "guarantee of immortality." There's a subtle difference.

Red Dog, I respect your beliefs, and your convictions, but...don't you think you just might really need to be pounded? you know, f!@#ed really hard? Just a thought.

Red Dog is a waste of life, but ... so is laogaiguk

I dont see the irony in it at all. There would be irony IF she had died of a disease we associate with eating meat. However that was not stated at all. Simply put, she died. No reason was given. She could have been hit by a bus, been in another sort of accident, whetever. There is no irony.

The fact of the matter is that she died of lung cancer from her smoking. No irony anywhere.

Ofcourse not, vegetarianism, when done right, shows very obvious advantages, especially for health.

Yet another thread where sensible people get turned off to sensible ideas because of Red Dog's utter stupidity.

I am pretty sure I have never directly called another poster an idiot, not even BigVerne, but damn, when the shoe fits.

Poor ole Bobby deserves better.

Right -- as if the opinion of a few disgusting trolls determined the validity of anything I've said here. This has got to be the most sickening bunch of people I've met on Dave's in a long time.

Anyone else think Bob is a clone? Or a robot? Who knows what technology the US has they haven't told us about? The US would not want The Price is Right to die. It would go on even without him, but it wouldn't be the same. It already isn't the same without Rod, but take away Barker and there would be a lot of unhappy housewives, senior citizens, military personel, etc.

Who made what appearances? WTF am I, a mind reader connected to all those on Dave's? Sorry, this isnt X-Men although you are a mutant. Buzz off.

I use to love being home sick when I was a kid. I don't know why, but I absolutely loved "The Price is Right". I think my brain linked up holidays from school (cause it only played on weekdays) and the show since my mother always watched it, so I love the show. Maybe not, still...
