A lot of people are on vacation right now, while others are still working. What's everyone doing to pass the time (those that didn't chose to travel during their vacation). ?

Just finished a 3 week course, but also signed up to teach 90 minutes per day at the uni hagwon, so I do that and then work on websites, video editing and stuff with my children.

I would hardly call "drinking" as a hobby a "life". It would behoove you to take your own advice. Smile

Just a matter of preferences I guess. Rolling Eyes

Officially I'm not on vacation, but for all practical purposes, I am.
I am between jobs.
The new boss wants me to move in next week and start work the week after.

I'm more introverted than most people, so I don't expect many people to get excited over what I've been doing.
It has been my custom to visit children's rooms in libraries,
because picture books for children is about all I can read in Korean,
The response from the kids is unpredictable.
Sometimes they gather around me and ask me to read books to them, sometimes they don't pay attention to me.

This week, I have been visiting the Seoul National Children's Library (국립 어린이 청소년 도서관).
It is a lovely new building, bordered on two sides by public parks.
They have a room for the easiest children's books, which they call 그림책나라.
They also have a snack bar in the basement, where they sell the usual snack foods.
There is also a hot water fountain for those who buy ramen buckets.

I doubt if I got anyone interested, but just in case I have, here are the directions:
Take line #2, get off at Gangnam station, and go out exit #8.
Walk straight until you get to a Starbucks sign, a yellow sign for 회트니스 클럽, and a blue sign pointing to the left for Korea Electronics Association.
Turn left.
After about a block, there will be a park on your left,
and after another block, the library will be on your left.

You will need these directions.
There are no signs pointing to the library.
Furthermore, the taxi drivers might not be much help either.
The first time, I tried three taxi drivers, and they all said, "어린이 도서관 아이 돈트 노."

Headed for Okinawa, Japan for 8 days. I have not been out of Korea in a year and I am going a little stir crazy. Razz
I think beautiful beaches with no sex tourists and panhandlers trying to sell me stuff as well as some peace and quiet and clear air is just the ticket.
Really need this vacation. ^^
