Regina - it's so bad there's nothing you can say.

Depot sort of has a charm to it, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Seriously you think Winnipeg is better that Regina. I lived in Regina, Calgary and Winnipeg. I would choose Regina over any of those places.

Calgary oh yes what I really want is an hour commute to where I work so I'm pissed when I get there. Oh and hey why don't we just treat me like a hockey players prom date when it comes to car insurance premiums. Cause I love working to pay for my outrageously priced home or apartment and my outrageously priced car payments and insurance. Plus it's fun to be labeled as the most right wing part of Canada. But hey at least there's no provincial tax

But when it comes to Winnipeg nothing tops that place. I would say that Korean streets are as clean as Winnipeg streets. Plus I love the well thought out city planning. I love it when there are street lights every 20 feet and they aren't in sync. As well wasn't the massive road around the city a little ambitious. City didn't expand like you thought it would huh? They should have made that road a wall. My friend moved there for school I gave him a gas can and a match as a present. Burn that place to the ground.

Winnipeg should be the location of the next Kurt Russel movie. Escape from Winnipeg.

Yeah, Winnipeg: I have seen slums in Winnipeg worse than anywhere else I've ever been to in Canada.
And don't get me started on the driving!
And even though it's no longer the murder Captial of Canada, it's still second. Oh, and it remains the car-theft capital of Canada. Still, even with all that I don't know that I would choose living in Regina over Winnipeg...

But then, I like Ottawa- the only place that gets more hate from Canadians than Toronto....

I'm from Saskatoon.

In my humble opinion, Saskatoon is a heck of a lot better than Regina. We make fun of Regina a lot in Saskatoon.

Q: What's the best part of Regina?

The problem with Saskatoon is that it's still Saskatchewan.

Well that's the funny thing: there may be, but I haven't seen them. Seriously there is nothing like Winnipeg north in either Ottawa or Montreal and I'm sure we can agree those are bigger cities. Winnipeg north is a shocking and disturbing eye-opener, IMO.

hmmmmmmmmmmm

hate to be the one to point out the pink elephant in the room but...

Winnipeg is the gang capital of Canada. It has the Manitoba Warriors.

That's 30,000 Native/Native-American/First-American/etc. for you. It's also crawling with native prostitutes.

And guess what? Regina has the second highest number of Indian gang members.

PC police, I hear you coming. But, it is what it is. And they are slummy, crime-ridled places, and if you look at the statistics, you'll find out who's doing most of it. Of course, Canada's penitentiaries (2 years plus a day sentence minimum) are 30% OR higher Natives, while the native population is at most, 3% of Canada. You do the math.

There are a lot of native indians in Regina. Maybe it's changed since I have been there (a long time ago now), but they weren't responsible for any more problems than the white punks (like me) were. Though, at one of my high school jobs (Canadian Tire) we weren't allowed to sell them brake fluid!? I guess they would drink it?

Things were different back then in regards to being PC and all. I wasn't a hater racist, but I guess I made and heard my fair share of "indian" jokes. Thankfully, times have changed.

I do want to tell the true story of the day when I was about 16 driving in my buddy's car and a young native guy is riding a bike beside us when my buddy yells "Hey! That's my bike!" and the native guy jumps off it and bolts down an alley, but it so not-PC that it just isn't funny anymore.

The problem in Regina for young people was boredom. That, and absolutely unreal winters. Made getting out of it really attractive. So everyone under 25 does just that and on anything that can do the job.

Saskatoon is better than Regina, but that's like solitary vs. regular cells. At least you have a real river running through there...Regina had to dig their own, but then sadly found out they couldn't actually make the water flow, so it sits there, stagnant, as to ease the breeding process for the worlds angriest mosquitoes.

Dang...I want to visit that place now. For about 10 or 15 minutes....in the summer....

Saskatoon has always come across to me as a modern, clean, city with lots of trees, good roads, and a good size, not too big or small. Regina just seemed crappy, but maybe I missed something as I didn't see as much of it as Saskatoon. Winnipeg has a lot of admirers, and it may be one of those rich areas are good/poor areas are realllly crap places. Definitely think Vagina gets pounded by the peg and the toon.

Honestly, what I see here in the north end of Winnipeg is very simular to what i grew up seeing in the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in the Blk community.....but not nearly as hard.....i'm sure there's a ghetto in T.O. that makes this look like the suburbs........
