I'm not putting this on here as a conspiracy theory, per se.

And, Joo, I'm not putting it up because of Alex Jones.

I'm posting it because it's one odd, weird thing that most certainly does exist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Grove

Plays performed before giant owls. The burning of an effigy called "care".
Mock hangings. Poltiical and business leaders.

Makes an ESLcafe gathering look pedestrian.

So these guys dress up in drag huh? (High Jinks, Low Jinks) Razz

Quote:
The primary activities taking place at the Grove are varied and expensive entertainments, such as an elaborate Grove Play (known as "High Jinks") and musical comedies ("Low Jinks") - where female roles are played by men in drag - produced by the members and associate members of the Club.

Umm, I don't really get what your point is.

But you seem very proud of it.

So do clarify.

No, I'm not really cool with it.

I'm quoting wikipedia.

Yes, guys dress in drag. High jinx. Low jinx.
That's all real.

It wouldn't be in wikipedia if it weren't.

According to the conspiracy theorists themselves...

Quote:
Richard Nixon once famously described the gathering as "the most f aggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine."

Okay. If Bohemian Grove really were this dead-serious, solemn ritualistic elite cult, I doubt that Nixon, who would surely be among the most exalted members of the cult, would describe it as a "goddamed f aggy thing". Can you imagine a Catholic Cardinal describing the mass in such terms?

I read somewhere(possibly Wiki), that the German chancellor Helmut Schmit attended Bohemian Grove, and said that they have similar men's clubs in Europe, but that the Grove was the best. All in all, it sounds like an overgrown frat house. Hardly something to get overly excited about, and almost certainly of no consequence to political affairs.

Personally, I think we should round up all the members of all the secret societies in the whole world and stone them to death in the town square. Starting with the Boy Scouts.
