the last schedule i saw had the yeah yeah yeahs playing around 4:30 today. snow patrol is around 7 or 7:30. hopefully they will have made up a schedule and has them readily available.
any other questions, feel free to call me, i'm heading up there right after my last class, at 12:10. i'm taking the subway to either incheon or dongmak, i'll decided on my way.
i'm working the festival so i won't be able to hang out all that much, but if anyone wants to travel to and from the festival, for the weekend, feel free to call me.
two of the better korean bands, windy city(funk/soul/reggae) and oh brothers(rockabilly) are playing on sunday afternoon between 3 and 5 on the second stage.
hope all who are going have a great time.
remember, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call.

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's were great! I'd never heard them before then, but I loved it. It was funny when she mispronounced "Taehan Mingook." It started to rain hard during their set, but it seemed to make it better.
Snow Patrol was really good. I never heard of them either until yesterday, but I really enjoyed it even though I was soaked and freezing.
Jason Mraz was fucking awesome! He rocked the place! I've been waiting five years to see him in concert, and he did not dissapoint. The mikes were a bit screwed up, but it didn't matter. I was surprised to see how popular he was here. I guess I still think of him as that guy that plays at Java Joe's in San Diego. A girl at the concert told me he sold out in Japan and Singapore, so he'll probably sell out at the Fuji Festival, too.
I didn't see the Strokes, though. Were they any good? |

Great weekend had by all. The best performances were in no order, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand(unbelievable), The Strokes, Oh Brothers, Windy City and Atmosphere. Sorry to all those Jason Mraz lovers out there, but he put me to sleep, possibly one of the most boring performances I've ever seen, which is saying something consinder i've been to 300+ concerts. He was simply awful. Too many metal bands as well, felt like I was at Ozzfest at times with really bad Korean Iron Maiden soundalikes. If I hear more music like that it'll be too soon.
Overall the weekend was great despite the rain, mud, heat and humidity.
Hope there'll be more concerts in the near future. |

What about those "white American boys" slamming each other against other audience's members? I heard they were roundly frowned upon by the Koreans for doing that. I've been to plenty of punk concerts, but I don't recall once ever being slammed against anyone's _member_. I guess it's an American thang. Or heavy metal, maybe.

But during Black Eyed Peas’ session, three white American boys, who settled up in the middle of front audiences, chilled the mood by slamming each other against other audience’s members. They were frowned upon as most of the Korean audiences preferred to jump peacefully on their own. |
Why can't we all learn to jump peacefully on our own? boing boing boing |

Shocking, I didn't see anyone write an article about the group of people dancing and kicking up mud at everyone during Oh Brothers' set. Apparently mud isn't as bad as jumping around. I'd probably do the same thing during the Balck Eyed Peas set as well, I'd need something to keep me awake while listening to their watered down pop music. |

Truly. The bands on Saturday sucked ass. There was one "band" that was so loud, they still hurt my ears when I was standing on the other side of the grounds. They just sucked. It was like 3 guys playing 3 different styles of crap together. Another band was good if you covered your ears. They were so loud they were distorted. I guess they think loud equals good. |
