Hello I am a first time teacher in Korea and I have arrived in Naju City 3 days ago! I am 45 minutes out from Gwangju and I am just wondering if there is any place to go where I can get my nails done. My nails are not real and I have them done in acrylic.
If any one knows a place in Naju that would be great but if you only know of ones in Gwangju thats ok too! I will just have to brave and catch a bus.
Thanking you

If you are near Gwangju, then you aren't that far from Seoul.
Your best bet would be to head to Itaewon in Seoul. There are tow or three nail places there.

OP, welcome to jeollanamdo you may find some place in Naju but your most likely going to be going to Gwangju for that kind of service. As a guy I can't give you details of where but you can try the shopping areas underground in the subway I seem to remember seeing a few done there. Ask around if you know any female koreans they can point youi in the right direction. Bye the way you are not near seoul as another poster said, that is a different place they are thinking of. |

Here are some numbers of hair salons in Naju. Ask a Korean friend or co-worker to call them up and see if they also do nails, or at least, recommend a place in town:
성북헤어갤러리 061-332-9553
부영헤어랜드 061-333-5277
정찬주헤어닥터 061-333-1482

I just wanted to say thanks for your help regarding the nails...
I am such a girl... I start teaching next monday so wish me well.
I have just found out about the Korean age thing where if you 10 your Korean age is 12. I think that is really misleading... What do you guys and gals think... The reason why I say this is due to the fact that I was under the assumption that I would be teaching 8 year olds {and up}, but in fact they are really 6! How bizarre! |
