I think I need to make a few things clear.

My MA is in History, specifically the modern middle east. My MA Thesis was on Neoconservatism and Iraq, and was essentially a thesis that could also have passed in the IR field.

Since writing and defending my thesis over a year ago, I have become infinitely more interested in the Asian Triangle (Korea - China - Japan) and their roles and effects on US policy. My interest is and always will be US foreign policy. I am not interested in Korean Politics, or really in anything Korea-centric (outside of the nasty neighbor to the north). I'm interested in getting a degree (most preferably an MA) in International Relations or Political Science. By getting such a degree, I can enter into a PhD PoliSci/IR program back here in the states (as most won't allow a person to enter into a PoliSci/IR grad program withouth first having some sort of degree or extensive experience in Political Science), should I decide to return to school (which is the current long-term plan).

I don't believe that is true. Why would a grad program require you to have a grad degree? What would be the point of pursuing a degree in Political Science if you already had one?

It doesn't have to be an MA, I would just prefer it to be as such.
