I purchased this in the states about two months ago. It works perfectly and delivers a beautiful hi-def image. It's small (considering the format) and it's easy to use. If your interested please let me know. Start making movies today. 1,200,000w

All the specs can be viewed here, from the same place I purchase it from:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=385368&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

I have an extra battery and an extra charger, both of which can be used in South Korea with the proper plug adapter (no voltage converting necessary). Why am I selling it? I'm looking for something that will speed the render times up on my powerbook while editing. Getting this camera again will probably be the case when I can use it with a desktop. For now, I need something less intensive for editing on my laptop.

I've posted some videos shot with the camera but the image is really altered when compressed. If you click on the dailymotion link below you can view LIKE SALLY SAID, WITH THE KIDS, THE RAINY SEASON, SLOW HELL, and LITTLE GIRL ON THE TRAIN... all those shorts were shot with it... the uncompressed versions of those shorts are obviously a much stronger image.

thanks.

I was just at Costco. I may be mistaken, but they had the Sony HDR-HCI for 1 000 000won. Why is yours more expensive? Is the extra battery worth more? Does yours have some extra features that aren't on the one at costco?

To be honest, I don't know what's at costco. But I would be really surprised if it's the same camera that I have though. Can you be more specific about what you saw at costco and compare it to the link that's in my initial post? The one you saw there might be the HDR-HC3... which is not the same cam... if you go to the link provided, that cam is also on the site and you can compare the two for yourself to determine that.
And if the camera that you saw at costco was the exact model I have, then a price change would definitely be in order because the charger and battery do not equate to the difference.

Also, something else I failed to mention in the initial post. My camera can shoot in both hd (16X9) and dv mode (4:3)... so if your editing system does not support hd, you simply shoot in dv mode... and the color and contrast are still pretty stunning.

I wrote down the model number when I was there so I could research it when I got home. They're the same camera. Looks like Costco was just able to get a really low price on this model.

Just confirm things (cost/model) and I'll absolutely do the necessary drop in price.

That is a funny avatar. But...

I see color and shadow problems. That is to say, the hitting penguin is too white and its shadow does not seem to touch the walking penguin.

Thanks for the interest but I can't go that low. Recently finished this video with the camera.

I'm not really interested in the camera, but I'd like to know what editing software you used for those movies--they look very nice!

How long were your renders, and with what kind of computer?

I was serious about my offer, if you change your mind. Seeing as I can get a new one for 1 million at Costco, I might just head over there soon.

I need a camera.

The renders were with a Powerbook, the version before the new ones. I found a way to speed those renders up a great deal... shoot/edit in 4:3 (DV). It's not as beautiful an image but it's worth the time saved, for now at least. I'm still willing to drop my price, but not to 700,000. If you can get it for 1,000,000 at Constco then I'm s*@t out of luck. I can probably sell this for that same price back home in LA after having used it here for a year... good luck to you. bg
