Can anyone tell me about this school? Have you heard anything about it, have you taught there? Any information would help!! Director's name is Mr. Cho.
Thanks! |

Hi, I taught in Sanbon a couple of years ago and knew a couple who had
worked for Sisa. There is also a SisaECC, a different school, in Sanbon
next to the subway station, so we must be clear on this point. This couple
I knew had a terrible time there: salary disputes, long days with split-shifts,
a crappy apartment in close proximity to noisy late night bars and next to a 24
hour batting cage {ping...ping....ping}. and a very demanding boss;the hubby was
asked to dress up as Santa Claus and was driven to the students' apartments
by the school shuttle bus to hand out presents {Ho ho ho}. At least he didn't have
to dress up as Dracula or Captain Kid on Halloween. By now there might be another
owner, because my friends' boss was having financial trouble, thus the late salary
disputes. If you're in Korea, check the job out in person. But if you're overseas,
try to talk to the current foreign teacher first before deciding to take the job. If Sisa
denies you this privilege, then of course it's better to keep clear of it. |

I worked at Sisa-Sanbon a couple of years ago. Steven Cho was the name of the owner. It was your typical hogwan, but I had no problems there. Sanbon was such a nice place to live too. Always paid on time etc and even the odd drinking session was paid for by the boss. |
