How the hell can they print things like these?
Are these papers for 10 year olds? Or teenagers with too much rage? This is freaking ridiculous:

Although Im totally against cruelty to animals, and I think some pressure on Korea is needed, articles like these are so incredibly uncalled for. Umph... They will just have the opposite effect, make Koreans hate us more, and want to keep their traditions more.

Now thats two papers Im not gonna read anymore. Just the Korea Times left now. Rolling Eyes

This isn't an editorial by the newspaper. This is an individual writing in and expressing an opinion. Newspapers always have sections that allow their consumers to write in and express opinions on any given topic. I wouldn't stop buying a paper because they printed someone's letter that I totally disagreed with. That's what those open forums are for. What you're saying is a contradiction. You agree that it's totally wrong to torture these dogs but you disagree that they printed another private citizen's letter that says the same thing. At least the writer of the letter stated that other countries are committing atrocities against animals as well. Just this morning I read that China "clubbed to death" 50,000 dogs recently because of a small outbreak of rabies. Here's that article:

Yeah, I realized it was an oppinion piece when I read it, but on the front page it seems to be an article. And I mean, no serious paper would even think of printing such an inflammatory oppinion piece.

I agree with you on the language. I think the letter would have been more effective if the writer had left out the emotional outburst.

So, that's where we come in. We are marketing and advertising professional and understand how to create and manage a campaign. We are going to wake up America and Europe to your atrocities and let them take over.

Should be...

a. professionals
b. wake America and Europe up

Where is this guy really from?

Google his name. Not much out there, especially for someone in marketing and advertising.

I read the part where he had the "emotional outburst"

I agree, it's not the best way to get your point across and it's pretty embarrassing as an American.

The letter isn't very well-written or well-argued, I agree. A cynic might say, "Maybe that's why it was selected for publication" ...

Yes, and it could easily have been a complete hoax. The newspaper should have contacted the author to verify that a real person wrote it and asked what sort of credentials qualified him as a "marketing expert." I wonder if anyone even bothered to check these details?

Did you check out the discussion page for the article,

Had to laugh when I read those comments. I would hope that the letter was just a joke, it was poorly written and for a supposed advertising and marketing professional, they seem to have a poor grasp of the English language.
