I'm wanting to go during Chuseok this year... first week in October... I'm female over 40 and would love to hear from others who might be interested to go with me or who can recommend the best way to do this.
The package deals seem best in terms of value for the amount of attractions covered, yet the airfares don't seem all that high (369,000)
Is it better to go on a package .....
or cheaper and possible to cover as much ground on your own by hiring a tour guide when you get there. |

You can get references for tour guides at the airport. They are pretty cheap, and more importantly, done in English. There is still a little "lets go to this famous store to spend your tourist money", but not near as much (I am guessing) as a Korean tour. They are set up more for foreigners.
A package deal would not be too far off for someone to go without any plans. It would save you trouble
Know one thing, I am not sure, but Chuseok might be right around National day there, so you will (luckily) be bombarded by fireworks, but it might be a bit more packed at tourist places because of traveling Chinese... I am not sure, though they are close. Might want to look into it. |

I know of a good package deal for Beijing for Chuseok. It's 5 days including flight, hotel and guide. You see all of the best attractions including the great wall. email Erin at [email protected] |
