My wife and I will be in the Itaewon area on Tuesday, Aug. 15th and I was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up for lunch and maybe a couple of drinks and good conversation?

We plan on going to pick up some books there.

Say around 12 or 1?

I don't drink, and I won't be here, but I think that La Tavola would be a good place for a large lunch gathering - if you need a place with a bar. They've got good wood-oven pizza, and they have a nice second floor view of Itaewon street passers-by...

(...After posting I noticed that it's probably only gonna be a small gathering since it's on a Tuesday ...)

Hey, Rteacher, gun-to-your-head scenario, which would you choose?

1. eat a Pizza Hut "Meat Lover's Pizza"

2. smoke a pack of Marlboros (red pack)

3. drink a bottle of Jack Daniels

(No wrasslin' the gun away from me. Ya gots'ta pick one.)

Is it? ... Oh yeah, Aug. 15th, Liberation Day, I'd forgotten about that. Nice.

With those choices, I'd head off to Marlboro country without too much fuss...

If the only choice was the meat-lover's pizza and there was a gun to my head - I'd concentrate my chi and strike the guy so fast ala Bruce Lee that in a flash I'd have a gun to his head, forcing him to eat gardenburgers with alfalfa sprouts...
Cool

Rteacher use your cosmic metaforces to summon Airwolf to strafe the dude into oblivion.

Is this get together going to involve getting really drunk and fighting with sailors?

Now see, that's the thing. I'd eat the gardenburgers with alfalfa sprouts, and probably even enjoy it. Then I'd eat the pizza. Then you'd be left with nothing to eat. Twisted Evil

As for the gathering thingie, I'm on holiday. Booked the Monday off for some much-deserved R&R. Have fun.

First I'd employ my comic metaforces - using a "Blazing Saddles" strategy I'll focus all my energy and visualize eating half-cooked beans around a campfire until I can unleash a mighty megafart that disarms and dicombobulates the hapless aggressor... 8)
