Hi
If someone has 5 minutes could they just explain what people mean by "sealed" with regard to academic transcripts? İ seem to need to provide this for every job İ apply for....
My academic transcript is simply one page of records of my grades for the units undertaken during the degree. İ am pretty sure it has the University's seal stamped on it - but what do they mean by it can not be open?....
Could you let me know a few more details about this - maybe İ need to contact the Uni to send me one?

| It is a transcript put in an envelope and sealed by your university. The university seal stamped over the flap of the envelope proves it has not been tampered with. |

| Your transcript must be in a sealed envelope. You can usually order a bunch from your university and ask them to put each in a sealed envelope and stuff all of them into one big manila envelope. Or you can have the transcripts mailed directly to each prospective employer. |

| Request TWO from your Uni - only forward ONE to the School AFTER or TOGETHER with the signed contract, copy of passport, notarized copy of your degree certificate and whatever the School might request. Do NOT forward to each and every position that you apply for - you are wasting big money. Keep the other one safe & SEALED for an emergency or a new job. |

| Also can't be older than 3 months since issuance. So all those extra copies you got for different jobs in Korea next year...useless because Immigration can't make a single rule and stick with it. Constant state of damage control and reaction. Like the university's going to disappear after 3 months? Retarded. |

What??? That's a new one on me. So now, they aren't good if they were given to you more than 3 months ago? That is retarded, if, of course, it's true. I was going to bring extra ones to Korea for the next job. I don't want to be bothered doing this every time. That's a pian! |

Apparently this is a new rule just within the last couple of months. Korean Immigration working at top efficiency as ususal.  |

| What nonsense!!! So now the transcripts my Mom got for me at the end of February can't be used now. Lucky for me, I can drive to my university 20 minutes away. Still, $5 more each and a hassle. One day Korea will be getting less and less teachers because of the immi stupidity. Like my transcripts could have changed since February. Geez! |
