Hello~

At the moment, I'm having a hard time deciding which contract would be the best to sign!

I'm wondering if anyone out there has heard of or knows anyone who has worked for the CDI branch in Ulsan?

I have also read a lot of threads referring to the heavy/rigid workload, (ie teaching Shakespeare to Korean students?!) Does anyone have any comments on their structured curriculum?

Thanks~

Brand new! 5 new branches: Ulsan, 2 x Busan, Gwangju, Chuncheon.
They are recruiting at the moment and will open end August. Read the CDI contract carefully!! Have you received additional info?? If not, request.

Are they really branches? Or are they franchises/branchises. Find out becasue if you accept an offer from a franchise/branchise then you will be cheated left and right -not too much different than other hogwans.

Remember- there are no holidays at CDI either.

that the ulsan campus is a start-up, and i will be amongst the new batch of teachers going through training before the end of august term begins.

when one is cheated left and right, exactly what should I be looking for?

when i read through the contract carefully, what would be the red flags?

(thanks..)

I don't care what they promised you...

you're working saturdays and if it's a new branch, you're working intensives...9-12 and 4-10 at least two (probably) three times a week for a month

you're also working 365 minus 7 days a year...

waive new year's, xmas, thksgiving bye bye...also, no korean holidays

and you better pray for a decent HI and BM...otherwise, if it's their first time outside the kiddie pool, your life will be miserable.

are you listening to me?

what's important to you? money or quality of life?

-spinario

p.s. CDI Kx will be standard cookie cutter...you will be paid on time and you'll receive your bonus/airfare, visa stipend, etc.
