Ive developed a taste for sundae. Especially the pigs intestine stuffed with noodles and the black stuff. The liver and kidneys can be a bit overcooked though. I reckon its the salt that makes it though.
So whaddya reckon? Sundae - yay or nay? |

Where's the poll!!!
We want polls these days!!
But yes. Soondae rocks. The salt does indeed make it all work. From a better foodstall (some foodstalls are rank!!) it's the best streetfood in Korea. Only matched by chicken-on-a-stick. Keep your duk-boki. That's kiddie food.
I'm a big liver-lover! |

Bought a "kim dduk soon" set one time, cleaned the gochu sauce off the "soon" and fed it to my dog. He liked it, but made some nasty farts later on. |

It's no different from blood sausage, isn't it?
Anyway, I like it. It's the manliest of Korean street food. |

Huge fan of the 순대국. If you live near Sinsa and like the stuff, there's an excellent restaurant there.

I guess my 5 years in Korea didn't take. When I read sundae I automatically thot of the ice cream thingy. That's how I've usually seen it spelled around here. I don't know why they don't spell that disgusting thing in Korea 'Soondae'. Makes more sense to me. |

I tried ppondaeggi, but I just can't try sundae. I love Korean food, just not something like this. |

Please grind it up first so I can't recognize what I'm eating. |

It's sick shiat. When I first came here I was put through an initiation by some Korean friends to eat it without knowing what it was. Even then I knew there was something wrong with it.
What I hate is the claim it's Korean sausage. Zyzyfer is right: it isn't ground up like sausage is. I call seundae Korean haggis. |

I thought we were going to reveal the location of a great hot fudge sundae. Imagine that. |
