De Barge - Rhythm of the night

Philyss(sic?) Nelson - Move closer
Dead or Alive - You spin me round (like a record baby)

I recieved it for Christmas in1985, in conjunction with my first walkman Smile

Albums... ha! DJs use 'em to spin some funky beats these days but they are certainly relics of the past.

Firesign Theater's I Think We're All Bozos on this Bus (1971). Other favorites of mine were Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass (being a trumpet player myself, I always enjoyed their style) and Styx Grand Illusion. Back in the '70s, I had plenty of 8-tracks (Styx, Chicago, Eagles, ELO, Boston, etc.).

I think the first album I ever owned was The Mini-Pops "We're the Mini-Pops". It was a birthday gift. Albums were becoming pretty obsolete at this point. It was all about the tapes. The first tape I ever purchased was Madonna's "Like A Virgin". Then of course as we all grew I purchased my first CD which was U2's "Rattle and Hum". I was re-doing my music collection at this point.

With the mp3 player taking over I think the more relevant question is what was the last hard copy of a CD you bought. I'll start.
