Hi,

Just before you read on, I do need a Chinese Visa in advance to visit China on vacation right?

Yes. Read on.

I had planned to go to China at the end of next week, and was about to book my flight. Thought i would check how to get my Chinese visa, glad I did. It seems to obtain a visa for China I need to go to the Chinese embassy, which is conveniently open 9:00am-Noon Mon-Fri. I'm teaching my summer camp at the moment 9:00am-Noon Mon-Fri and don't have a weekday off until my proposed vacation.

Can anybody tell me if there is any other way of obtaining a Chinese visa (perhaps through a travel agent that is open more convenient hours, for a small fee)?

I'm a British citizen, if this makes a difference? If anyone does know of anywhere to get a visa I'm based in Ansan but would happily travel into Seoul on an afternoon or evening.

Can't believe that my vacation plans can be ruined so easily; there must be a way. If not I'll arrange a holiday somewhere that gives visas on arrival. I'll post another entry for that question.

Cheers.

Take it to your nearest travel agent, they will do it for you - for a small fee like you said.

There are 3 ways to issue your visa:

1. normal - takes 3/4 days

2. express - 24 hours

3. urgent - same day (drop in in the morning and done in the afternoon)

1 is cheaper than 2 and 2 is cheaper than 3.

I think 3 is double what 1 is.

For cheap airfares, try www.whypaymore.co.kr
