I've been reading this forum for hours, and that's just today.

What I'd like to know, and what I can't seem to find here, is what the exact steps are to teaching in Korea.

I have an MA in English. I am a native speaker.

Is this what I need to do?

1. Get a passport
2. Get a visa to visit South Korea
3. Come to Seoul
4. Look for a job, find a job, have a job, work for a year, etc.

Is this basically it (if I want to do the "find a job upon arrival" approach)? Or am I leaving anything out?

I filled out my passport app today. I'll turn it in this week.

Thanks.

Thats basically it. Although you dont need to get a tourist visa, it will be automatically given to you upon arrival into Korea.

Alternatively you could apply for jobs before you come over, which would save on the airfare (your school would pay). In this case you would get a working visa before you leave the country. However, be wary of bad recruiters.

Daves esl has a great job site.
