Hello all, I've been reading the forums for some time before I came to Seoul to search for a job. I came here with no contract because so many people suggested that is the way to go. I would like to work at a university or public school, preferably high school, and would like to avoid recruiters as much as possible. I have been contacting Universities directly (with the help of a Korean friend). What should I do to find available public school jobs? I know I can search Dave's job listings and go through worknplay recruiting. What else can I do? Contacting each school directly is difficult, and not knowing the Korean language yet makes it even more difficult. Any advice? I am about to contact many recruiters and then go to the schools directly if all else fails.

Here is my background information: I am a white male, I have a Masters in Communication from a university in the United States, I have two years of teaching experience in the U.S., but I do not have a TEFL certificate.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Some people have posted their resume on this website, and results have turned out pretty good for them.

i can recommend a good recruiter. he is away travelling at the moment but plans to do some work while he is away. i know he often gets asked to recruit for schools in souel.don't know about public ones though. if you are willing to change location, that would be an asset. his e-mail is [email protected]. hope things work out!!
