I am wondering how to get to the airport. I have too much stuff to take a cab. Does anyone know of a van cab number or a good way to bring a years worth of stuff home?

After my first year here I had the same problem, how on earth can I get all this stuff home????
So I decided to stay another year, and another and another...
I'm trapped here by all my stuff!!!

So I think you should just stay another year til you get it all sorted out.

How much is a year's worth? Are you coming back to Korea shortly?

If you're coming back, leave some boxes with friends, then have them mail them to you when you get back.

I don't know if there's any limit on baggage you can take on the airport bus, but the airport bus is a nice way to get to/from Incheon airport. From what I understand it goes all over the country, and it certainly goes all around Seoul and Gyeonggi. Here are links for that:

Look around your part of town to see where it stops.

If you're staying in Korea, give stuff to your friends. If you're leaving for good, look into how much it costs to bring extra bags with you. Also, think about mailing stuff home to your family. It's a hassle, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

i was sorta curious about the same thing, really. but not 'cause i have a lot of stuff... 'cause i have a cat. i have been told by others that their animals were put underneath, with the luggage, on the airport bus. that seems a little mean. i'd like to make sure he at least gets to the airport okay, before i have to sit on a plane and worry about him for 14 hours. (i may be more worried about my mental health than his here.)

If an airline will accept the amount of baggage you have, the airport bus surely will too. I wouldn't take a cab.

Tru dat. To get yourself and your boyfriend plus four large suitcases is sort of like those rooster/fox/grain stories where the farmer is trying to get them across the river... you know what I mean? Anyway, here's my suggestion.

Find the nearest stop for the airport bus. The fare will be heaps cheaper than renting a van. You and your boyfriend drag your luggage out there, and the driver will stow it for you underneath the bus. If it's too much for one trip, then one of you will have to go back. Flip a coin. The other can wait with the bags. Maybe the bags from the second trip would fit in a taxi, to speed up the process.

There you have it. Behold, my brain-child. You're welcome. Wink
