My passport vanished from the house I was staying in here in Zaandam in Holland.
I have filed my police report and gotten my paper.
I am under the impression that I can NOW get travelling papers which will take me back to Korea FROM the Canadian embassy.

In Korea I will apply to get a new passport. I am fairly sure I have everything I could need for that.

Now my MAIN question:
Once I return to Korea, WHAT DO I DO????
Should I get my new passport asap? What about my visa stickers? I don't have to make another f-king run do i????

I will also go to the Korean consolate here in NL...see if they speak english Sad

help and...please wish me luck yll. Turns out my wife will be going on the honeymoon to Paris by herself.

Do you still have your ARC ??? Are you on an E2 or F2 ?

Usually, immigration here will just transfer your stuff from your old passport (they have the records in the computer) to your new one. You have to make the change within 2 weeks of receiving your new passport.

You should NOT have to make a visa run.

The Canadian Embassy here will be a pain in the axx though. They are about 1 step above useless.

You can expect a minimum of 3 weeks and up to 6 weeks to re-process your new passport assuming you have your Birth Certificate (citizenship papers) from Canada, other supporting ID, the police report for the lost passport.

Hi,

How long are you in the NL? I live in the Hague near all of the embassies, a similar thing happened to me and I was able to get a replacement passport from the Canadian consulate in 2 days.

About the visa, the Korean consulate in Nl is in the Hague and it's really small. I had to call in advance to make an appointement to pick up my visa but the good thing is that anything you need done will be done quickly, my Visa will only take 3 days tops, they say. I'd call them.

Getting a job in the Korean diplomatic corps is quite competitive. Knowing English and at least one other language is pretty much a prerequisite for consideration.
