| really, c'mon, the guy's pretty funny. artists, wherever they go, seek a reaction. the non-reaction of the koreans is still a reaction. i think it's a pretty good test: act as much like a nutter as possible and see the effect. in this case, pretty much no effect. which IS an effect, no? |

I agree, he is one of the nicest guys I've ever met here. His performances are quite the opposite of his personality.
I like what he does and I hope he'll keep on doing it.
Performance art is like any other art, you either get it or ya don't.
If ya don't get it (I've seen plenty I didn't get) hopefully it'll help you to bend your mind around other things that you don't get and give you new perspectives on things, see things in a way you never thought of before. Sometimes that's the only point of a performance, to try to open you up a little more, crack the shell shielding your mind, and sometimes it's just all in good fun to give ya a laugh. |

Nothing against "Frank" personally, but I've been doing just that for half my life, and you don't see me calling it "art". Hell, maybe I should, though. The only difference I can see is, people usually laugh, not fetch the police. Oh yeah, and I don't have somebody film me. I think that's key. But those are small hurdles I'm sure I can overcome. |

These are the same people who did flash mobs. Lame.

Well, if a night at the local pojangmacha and too much soju qualifies me as a performance artist, move over Watermelon Man. There's a new kid in town. |

where is that place?
...i'm not gonna say the guy shouldn't do that, but I just don't think the end result justified the stupidness of his antics. and it just kinda makes me embarrassed. |

Art is created, and then the audience is free to interpret it if, when and how they want.
It is not screamed in their face while they are out doing other things. |

I loved it.
I'm not big into the Art scene, but I totally got it. It was so strange and interesting at the same time.
I would of loved to have heard the Koreans explain that situation to their friends the next day. |
