I ordered a bunch of health and work-out supplements on line a while ago and the company that I ordered it from informed me that Korean customs has flagged my order and is investigating the ingredients to make sure there is nothing illegal.

Has this happened to you and how long until it is released?

So annoying!

They love to stop shipments of vitamins, health supplements, etc. I would call customs and see if they can tell you. In the future, Isuggest sending teh stuff to someone at home. Having hte person repack it in a different box. The person should send it to you. On the customs label, have the person put "gift" or something mundane, and the total value as 10 bucks. The more normal it looks, the better. Also, small boxes seem to get through better than big ones.

I don't know about vitamins and such, but I do know that if the shipping label states the contents of the box + shipping costs are worth more than 150,000 won, you'll have to pay import tax. Anything under 150,000 is exempt.

If you have to pay import tax, you'll have to go to the post office that handles customs for your city. In Seoul, it's in Mok-dong.

Found that out the hard way. Evil or Very Mad

Is there an English line for the customs office? I called today and was told something I couldn't quite figure out.
