Holy Mary mother of God!!!! They want over 400,000WON for that *beep*. I just bought my legit copy for $130. WOW! |
What you are seeing there is the difference between a retail copy and an OEM copy. If you bought yours for $130, it was likely OEM, which is exactly what DSL and OLP licenses give you.
Demo, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't OEMs meant for just one machine while retail versions can authenticated more than once? |
I have the xp home retail version. It allowed me to authenticate twice. After that, I just called up Microsoft and explained to them that I sold off my old computer (and erased my XP), so now I need to install it on my new one. Within 2 minutes, they gave me a new authentication number and poof! Problem gone. |

I think this discussion is about getting legit versions in English. Most of those backalley-type vendors have English Windows alright...it comes on a CD-R with the serial written on it with a marker... |

| OEM you can only activate once. I never had a retail version so I cant say if it will activate on more than one. |
