How do you know most of those "civilians" weren't militia?

Because most of them are women, children, and the elderly.

What part of "accidentally killed" don't you understand? And do you think Hb was targetting Israeli civilians maybe when they unleashed thousands of rockets on israeli towns?

Israel was attempting to dismantle Hesbollahs supply lines and miltary. To avoid civilan casualties they dropped leaflets warning civilians beforehand.

All deaths are regrettable and we want as few as possible, but if we give up the moral high ground and decide that we are just as bad as terrorists if we accidentally injure or kill civilians during military actions targetting enemy combatants, then there's no reason to ever bother defending ourselves or anybody else again. If all deaths are equal regardless of motivation of cause, then Western civilization is officially at an end, and we can all start learning to speak Arabic now.

Here are your poor innocent women and children.

Here are several hundred thousand women chanting "Death to America, death to Israel". (Prior to the current conflict.)

Maybe waving the hezbollah flag is enough to legitimately identify them as part of the enemy?
