Is it possible to get a room once I get there? I have ar room booked from Sunday... but Friday and Saturday I'll be homeless, something happened and with my visa and the Buddhist holidays... so I have to leave early.

If you want to slum it with the backpackers check out Khao San Road for cheap guesthouses. Or check out Sukhumvit Road for fairly cheap and decent hotels (600 baht upwards). The stretch of road between Nana Plaza (ahem) and Soi Cowboy (cough). |

I stayed in Tong Poon hotel a few weeks back. Nice and clean and big. It's away from all the slummy Kho San Road BS (dont go there).
130 Rong Muang Soi 4
Pratumwan, Bangkok 10300
Tel. 216-0020-39
Or, you can go to the TAT (Thailand Authority of Tourism). They will hook you up. |

Try Sukhumvit Road and Soi 3 at the Swann Inn.
600 baht a night. Clean. Convenient. |

Hey
Check out Peachy Guest House also Blue Guest house near the fort.
Both of them are around the back of the Temple at the top of Koh San away from the throngs.
