That's not singing, that's belting. It seems impressive, but like the leads in "Annie," they don't have much of a voice left by the time they reach adulthood.

Wonder if she'll turn out like Charlotte Church and end up in Alias' avatar.

Seriously, there are more like that than you would think - the Annie singers, Charlotte Church, the girl in Love Actually, etc. Good voice; let's see how it turns out.

The only difference is that this girl has soul. Annie was kiddish and Charlotte was too choir-like.

And she's Italian if that means anything Smile

If ESPN can show the World Series of Poker, they should have that clip as Sportscenter's Play of the Day.

And she won "America's Got Talent?"
I think singers should stay on "American Idol," where they belong.

I hadn't seen that clip, but I watched America's Got Talent finalists' competion show, and she made all the changes that the British judge (playing the Simon Cowell role...) suggested, and she was voted the winner. There were a lot of talented acts, including an Asian-American boy band, At Last, whose members are ethnically Chinese, Korean, and Cambodian.

Among the more interesting also-rans was the rappin' Granny -

I personally wasn't rooting for the girl who won (Bianca something...) because I thought her rendition of Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart wasn't that great, and the imitative style was inappropriate for her age... When she was awarded the million dollar prize she showed a lack of poise, seemed emotionally drained - and was almost in a state of shock, IMO...

I personally would have preferred that the prize be awarded to one of several other acts, including another eleven year old girl (Taylor something-or other...) who was an excellent yodeler...

These types of TV shows are getting old. American Idol needs to take a year or two off, and America's Got Talent? More like America's Got Freaks. That's just my opinion, though.

Thanks for that. AGT looked like a rip off of American Idol, just more trailer park-like.

Watched the granny, I think the kid is more impressive. She's only 11 and probably not a pro at winning a million bucks.
