Some terrorists are home grown from Middle Eastern descent. My question is, if they are not happy in counries like the U.K., why in the hell do they stay?
They say the west is invading the holy land, yet enough of them see fit to move to the west and become terrotists? In the E.U., some countries have a population as high as 5%. What is the % of Western people in these countries far below 2%.
I am getting tired of these kinds of people going and settling in the West, yet complaining about the West being involved with their land. Come on now, what kind of logic do they use?
I disagree with senseless killing, I disagree with unjust occupation, I disagree with wars over money. But, I think that immgrants to our countries, should have sort sort of loyalty and realize that it is not a religious war. It is a war of rich men trying to get richer and extremists trying to out do one another.
They should realize that they moved from their country of origin for a better life. Be grateful and not hateful that they can pursue these dreams in the west. Realize that they left their land because their people treated them a lot worst than they are treated in the West. |

I'm with you 100% on this. I really hate senseless killing, but I'm all for sensible killing. Unjust occupation is unjust. Just occupations are another story. Wars over money are stupid. Wars over reasonable things like nationalism and religion are a different kettle of fish. I think immigrants to the West should take a page out of ESLers' behavior in Korea and just keep quiet about the things they don't like. |

You're kidding right? When have we ever kept quiet about things we don't like?!? B/S these people are moving to Western countries no to be assimilated but to assimilate. The sooner you recognize that the better off your sanity will be. |

You're talking about a complex phenomenon, and I think you're mixing up a few different issues.
You ask why homegrown terrorists stay in countries like the UK. A fair question, but then you ask why "they" say the west is invading the holy land and then come over to become terrorists.
Who are "they"? Homegrown terrorists (ie terrorists who are born in the country) are neccesarily second generation, and have little input in the decision to immigrate. If 'they' are those Muslims who immigrate to the UK then where does it say, that these particular people are the ones complaining about Holy land invasion, or becoming terrorists.
It appears as though you've taken different issues, people and behaviour
lumped them together and then acted suprised because there are some inconsistencies. Just because a homegrown terrorist, an immigrant and some religious freak are all muslim doesn't mean they are all going to agree.
I think the problem with this debate overall is the tendency to lump Muslims into a homogenous whole, rather than a diverse civilisation. |

Here's what you do:
1 You make sure that all ports of entry to North America/Britain are put under surveillance, every last container checked.
2 You declare a moratorium on immigration.
3 You bar Muslims from ever immigrating to the West or even visiting.
4 You incarcerate then deport anyone who is even remotely connected to terrorist groups or shows the slightest sympathy for them.
5 You get all the US/British troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan; occupy only the oil fields and pipelines.
6.Annihilate all terrorist groups even if it means annihilating the entire countries that host them, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia. |

Actually, I've heard a rumour (correct me if I'm wrong) that you're American, lived for a while in a Muslim country and did *not* get eaten for lunch. Is this true? Did they really prefer lamb and falafel to an American?  |

Yes. Perhaps I was lucky? Maybe I had to be in one country for more than 6 months before they'd get around to eating me? But if that were the case, not sure how I was able to meet an American who was in Yemen for a little over a year. Maybe they only like people under 6 ft. tall?

Someone, the Fijians maybe, when they used to be cannibals, used to refer to Caucasians as 'long pig'. Maybe the Moslem ban on pork covers Caucasians in this instance as well. |
