How about waygooks?

Many of us dress like such slobs that none of us should feel real comfy taking the moral high ground when it comes to fashion.

The issue here is not with being a slob or frumpy. Young Korean women do work hard to maintain a "look". The problem is that what they wear doesn't augment their looks (which is usually the main goal behind dress).

I agree with one of the posters who complimented the ladies in Canada. I just got back from a trip there. A lot of the ladies in their 20's / 30's are wearing classy looking outfits that work well with their hairstyles. They looked so good that I could ignore the extra pounds some of them were carrying.

Good one! That looks really stupid.
What does look good is to wear the same color of clothes - but the identical outfit? Embarassed

I'm not a fan of kkot-namjas, or whatever they're called. The pretty boy look, exemplified by the guy in the pomegranate juice commercials- the dude playing piano and singing to a gaggle of females surrounding him...

Also, I don't like the androgynous look that so many girls (especially middle schoolers) are sporting. I saw a girl/boy the other day, and honestly, I still really don't know if he/she was male/female. I even saw a 6 yr. old with this look- my husband swears it was a girl, but I'll be damned if I could tell one way or the other.... Anyway, is this a funky Japanese trend or something? Koreans seem to really get into whatever style is popular in Japan. I

even saw a girl on Sun. dressed up like those funky Japanese girls who dress up like bo-peep and hang out in that really trendy Tokyo district (I forgot the name...). Anyway, this girl had on a pink dress, knee high white socks with lace and bows at the top, patent leather mary janes, white gloves, and her hair was in pigtails, tied with pink ribbons. She looked like she was wearing a doll's outfit. If her dress was blue, and she was carrying around a staff, she would've been a dead ringer for bo-peep. I even wondered if she was going somewhere to act in a play, or maybe go to a costume party or something...

K-gals should think about adopting a more classic-edgy style.

There are some bad ones here, atleast from my NA opinion. I especially hate the huge sunglasses on hot girls.

But then again, have you guys seen the new in thing back home...

I agree, but I live in LA/Hollywood, and every hot woman in the area wears huge sunglasses that cover half their faces. I think it started here... and somehow Korea caught onto it if that's what's "in" now.

BTW, is Von Douche still popular in Korea?

I saw a K-couple wearing pink t-shirts last week. The girl's said, "That's my boyfriend" with an arrow pointing, and the guy's said "That's my girlfriend" with a similar arrow. Problem is, they were sitting on the wrong sides of each other, so both their arrows were pointing at complete strangers. Laughing

Thankfully the Burberry Everything trend seems to be dying down a little. I haven't seen miniskirts + cowboy boots for a while either.
