Try Kim and Johnsons.
Incidentally the whopping big grammar book by Michael Swann is better for getting the hang of grammar than Murphy. Can't remember the name of it off hand.Found it more useful when I did my CELTA. |

Bandi and Lunis has a lot of English teaching text books. Go to Jonggak station and head for the Insadong exit. You can't miss the giant bee.

Kyobo Bookstores should also have them.
Teaching Tenses , I forget the author, is very helpful for the CELTA, too. |

I hope you're doing the course in-house as opposed to through distance. I thought that the most informative part of instruction came from the course tutors themselves rather than all the books we were recommended.
However, if there is one book I can recommend to anyone as a thorough primer to language learning, it would be An Introduction to Language by Thomson and Heinle, lead author V. Fromkin. It really helped me to understand language development in individuals more than any other book.
As for all the books on your list, I'm quite sure I've seen them all in all the main bookstores in Seoul. Perhaps YoungPoon (YP) books attached to JongGak subway station in central Seoul would be the first stop. There is also an ESL specialist bookshop that has been open for 1 year on the main street from the station - approximately opposite the YBM main branch. |
