| Are most banks open Saturdays? I went to a bank machine today to make sure my pay had been deposited and found that my bank card doesn't seem to be working....and of course I'm down to my last 2,000 won. (My account is at Nonghyup) The card lasted a whole month! |

Nope. With the shortened workweek coming in, the banks were the first to switch to the 5 day week.
M-F, 9 / 9:30 - 4: / 4:30.
Strange that your card is broken. Did you damage the magnetic strip?
Your bankbook will also work in a bank branch ATM if your card doesn't. It also has a magnetic strip on it. |

Thanks, ttompatz.
The magnetic strip must be damaged. I know I still have money in my account and the message said something like "you can't use this card".
Good to know that I can use my bank book like a bank card. |
