Just wondering if I can buy Rogaine in Korea. For those who are curious, its used to...well, to treat thinning hair. If it's available I won't have to bring a years supply, kinda concerned amount getting that much through customs.
Cheers. |

I used to bring a years worth of many things through customs. Only had my bags opened once.
Funny story actually - I had many ominous looking big brown bottles filled with milk of magnesia - tummy troubles (couldn't ever find it in Korea!).
Customs ran it through the x-ray machine and with great glee the customs lady asked me if I had any booze. I said, "No" - and she got real excited and asked me to open my suitcase.
When we opened the bag - and saw the MofM - I thought she would be pissed - but in fact she was SOoooooo disappointed. She was hoping to bust me for booze - didn't care about whatever was in the bottles!
I wouldn't worry about it really. |

I have seen shampoo labeled "Rogaine" in the Korean language here, but I can't say whether it's the same formula or if it's as effective. Some brave soul here probably knows the answer, or you could try checking the website.
On the other hand, customs here probably won't even open your suitcase unless you have something to declare. |

Yes, you can buy it here no problem.
It's called (Rogaine) minoxidil topical (mi NOX i dill) in Korean. |

Do you really find that rogaine helps? My boyfriend is worried his hair is thinning and he's been thinking about using something like rogaine but is unsure if it's any good or not. |

Dude, topical application would probably leave my head smelling a bit funky.
Rogaine? Not for me. I cut nature off at the pass and took the clippers to the dome. I'm saving up for a 하이모 treatment. |

Thanks guys....at least now I wont have to worry about being suspected as a terrorist trying to smuggle in an illegal substance disguised as hair treatment...

Rogaine or Minoxidil %5 isn't a miracle cure...but it will slow the rate at which your hair falls out and in some cases promote hair growth. The new growth is generally thinner....but it's not a cure and takes about 4 months to start working....then you have to keep using it indefinitely, otherwise your hair returns to what it was previously.....Im just reluctant to give in to my genetics just yet....maybe Ill stop trying to challenge nature in a few years time.
Cheers everyone. |

Go the Andre Kim route and just spray paint your forehead. It works for him. |

I brought a year's supply of Propecia with me. It's done good things, and has a higher success rate than rogain. My dermatologist at home, and I, recommend it www.propecia.com. |

You don't have to bring it. You can get it in Korea as well. If you need you can see an English speaking dermatologist at Severance Hospital in Seoul. Not to mention that there is an International clinik with an American doctor. |

Proscar is good. You cut the pill into 4 parts and take it over 5 days 4 + skipping a day. In that way, it's less expensive than Propecia. A GP can write you out a prescription. |
