I was lucky enough to run into mithiridates in itaewon on the weekend. Nice guy who hasn't let his online celebrity status go to his head.
I've also met Tiger beer, gwangju boy and junior on different occasions. It's funny to meet people you know from daves in real time, good to put a face to the handle. |

After the last Dave's get-together I can add Poet13, Manner of Speaking, and Dessultude to my list (the others I met there I either don't know from Dave's or didn't get a chance to talk to much). As usual, I found them to be the most pleasant people.
Others I've met / known include AdamH, Rapier, Blunder1983, Katydid, PolarbearBrad, Cohiba, Derek, Teach me English, Spinoza, Seoulunitarian, Brian King, Ya-ta boy, Cruisemonkey, Drumpounder, Cornieman, Seoulsista, and my all-time favourite poster, Hwanjangsil Ajuma. I'm sure I've forgotten someone.
All really nice people, too. |

I'll list the posters I've met who have made a strong impression on me (and whose names have stuck in my head.) Some don't post much but hang out with me in Real Life. Some have left or been banned from these boards for good, but are not easily forgotten.
Zyzyfer- mysterious, agreeable
Billybrobby- the sun in my universe
Mithridates- relentlessly brilliant, somewhat reclusive
Captain Corea- very charming, attractive guy
Robt- sunny disposition, quite witty
Flotsam- so smart it makes me sick
Qinella- takes everything I say literally
Alan Partridge- so curmudgeonly it's cute
Ody- passionate, honest
Crazylemongirl- sincere, strong
blunder1983- adorable, so easy to get along with
Spinoza- not the gaunt, angry Irishman I was expecting
Dan the Chainsaw Man- actually kind, thoughtful, a bit worn down
ChopChaeJoe- Outdoorsy, outgoing
Peter Jackson- gentle, a bit quiet
Tiger Fancini - very tall! funny, creative
Merlyn- self-reliant, intense
Texas Pete- also very tall! possible comedic genius
Tiger Beer- truthful, idealistic
Joe Doufu- eager, brave
Lizara- Sour on the outside, sweet on the inside
bunnymonster- fearless, wry
lawyertood- gregarious, tactless
deeluvsskittles- fun loving, funky
Matthew'sWorld- offbeat, observing
Harpeau- welcoming, cheerful
guangho- not what you'd expect
Casey's Moon- sweet, soft-spoken
Tzechuk- poised, focused
joyfulgirl- randy, tender
swiss james- loveable, cheeky
tommynomad- sensual, wise
demonicat- worldly, creative

I've met two people on this board: one whose name I didn't hear, and also Joyfulgirl. She recognised me from pictures and introduced herself in Philly's.
I've also known people beforehand and seen them on here later, particularly uberscheisse and a girl who doesn't post here anymore. |
