Bulsajo, you're in North America, we're in Korea.
Isn't it a newly released road movie without a major star (except a minor star in Kinnear).
Chances are that film won't make its way over here for a while, if ever.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a great movie.
And it will reach you in DVD format. |

Not unless it wins an Oscar in 2007.
But I guess we can get a regionfree player and order from overseas then.
(if only Leonardo Dicaprio was in it! then we'd get it for sure and quick)
Living in Canada has its advantages, eh Bulsajo. |

You know, there was a thread on The Constant Gardener here probably about a year ago. |
Find it then please because I searched and couldn't locate it. It is on DVD now, I just saw it and couldn't find any threads by using the search function.

I expect a year from now you'll be starting your own thread on this movie (alongwith a thread on how great U2 was in the 80s).

It felt right at the time. It was uncalled for.
Let me just say this- when you see this film (and you will, at some point) you will want to share your enthusiasm about it.
And given the movies to date in 2006 I wouldn't be surprised if this wins at least 1 Oscar.
I'm not going to redit every post this thread doesn't look like we had an argument, I can't be bothered. Anyeay see the film, rent the dvd, d-load the torrent or whatever, you won't regret it.

I hope so.
If a film wins an Oscar, like Constant Gardener did for best supporting actress, then it eventually makes it to Korea.
I guess I'm a bit jealous: to be able to see all those new movies any time you want! (I lived a year in Toronto and was at the theater often, plus you've got the film festival next month! lucky duck. loved that twice int he eighties. I went to the Jeonju and Pusan film festivals over the last year, and saw 10 films at each, great, but those opportunities in Korea are few and far inbetween.)

We're all online in the broadband capital of the world. Download them. It's not the big screen, but in many cases (living in Korea) it's the only chance you'll have to see movies that don't have Leonardo.
