Was easy.. I have a Korean drivers licence though.. All I needed was that and a credit card..
If you have been in Korea longer than 6 months I think you need to get a korean drivers licence. |

You need either a international Driver's license paired with your country's drivers license and a credit card. Or as the previous poster stated a Korean license and a credit card. Way back when I got a international licesne I got it in my home country before I came to Korea. I don't know if you can get one while in Korea.
Getting your Korean Drivers license is a very simple procedure. All you need is your Korean ID card, passport, Your countries drivers license, a few photos which you can get at the office and 15,000 won and your done in like 30 minutes.
This is true for Canadians, Americans, Brits, Aussies, etc but some obscure licenses may require an actual test.
One other thing when you get your Korean drivers license they will likely take your countries license as collateral. You can get it back at anytime by giving back your Korean license. They took mine...

Petrol is expenisve, about the same as Western Europe, at around 1,600 per litre (approx 7.60 USD per Imp gallon). My car costs around 90,000 per fill.
I have no idea on daily rentals, but mine is around 900,000 per month, so at least 30,000 a day from Avis, but there are cheaper places around. |
