I know people have talked about strange t-shirts before and I could probably dig up a thread from yesteryear, but I saw the worst t-shirt English today. The front had all kinds of terrible misspellings like "wondeatul" and the back said this:

"The surfing god has gotten off in me."

Anyone else seen this one?

Yes, I saw it a couple of weeks ago and immediately added it to my list of "Korean t-shirt gems" for the folks back home. I doubt that the girl wearning it had a clue about the "meaning".

My wife bought one a few months ago. I should have taken a photo of it before she throw it in the garbage.

I think it's actually "the god of surfing" but yes. A kindergarten teacher at my hagwon wears it regularly...

Yeah, one of the Korean kindy teachers at my school wears a yellow one to work sometimes. I actually think it's an alright looking shirt.

The two worst shirts I've seen:

Smell Me - worn by a 10 year old girl in my first hagwon

and most recently while walking around Apguejong:

Niggas Love Blonds - worn by a Korean girl in her 20's

Needless to say the girl wasn't a blond.

Who the hell comes up with these shirts?

Shirt Designer: Mmm, what would look good on this black t-shirt, an eagle? no. a beer or sports logo? no, too many of those. i've got it, how about a derogatory term about black people saying they love girls with blond hair. That's it, I've got, that shirt will sell like kimchi in Dongdaemun.

Here's a questionable shirt that a friend of mine bought in Edae. By the way, she's black. It looks like the shirt has Japanese writing so it takes the heat off the Koreans a bit on this one.

I saw a young man wearing a pink shirt with red letters that said, "Ass Man" on the back.

I had a fifth year wearing a Donald Duck t-shirt. Great except it was pictures of Donald on various illegal substances. He couldn't figure out why I was laughing at the nice shirt his mom bought him.
