Got another PM. Hey, Kennardc, just post here. That's what the forum is for, and this IS YOUR thread...
I understood your message. You were treated poorly. I just don't believe you. Sorry, as blunt as that is, it's my belief.

You wrote to me, "What I said was I was trying to improve their students. They were not."

Actually, you said the opposite.

"They took my money which I worked hard for and tried to improve students. "

I know what you were trying to say, but your syntax, in more ways than one, comes off as simply non-native English.

I am not saying you are a bad teacher though I trust you don't teach the grammar you type.
I am not saying that you weren't treated poorly in whatever situation you were in.
I'm just saying I think you're not who you say you are.

I will say it's nice that you haven't resorted to flaming and name calling that occurs far too often here. So thank you for that at least.

I am the OP's son, and I am a soldier stationed in Yongsan. This story is 100% true and please forgive my father and his typing skills. He is not used to being on forums, and he has been living with, in, and around Koreans for WAY too long... that is why he is typing like he is.

Anyway, I helped him draft a letter... a very nice, respectful, non-offensive letter... I would post it, but it is on my computer at work. If you want to see it, just hit me up tomorrow and I will be happy to post it. Anyway, I typed up this letter, and I had a Korean friend translate it for me. I then had a few people read it (without telling them anything about the situation) just to make sure that nothing in the translation made it become offensive or inaccurate.

When he presented that letter to the director yesterday, the guy FLIPPED OUT on him! He just kept screaming and ranting about the letter, and asking who wrote it and who translated it, and then he just kpet going on and on about all the bills he had to pay. I see no connection between the school's bills and my father's paycheck, but it sounds like this shady SOB is trying to rip off his staff to cover shortfall sof his own inept leadership, which is complete and total BS.

The no shower thing is also very, very true and it has been repeatedly brought to the attention of the director, but nothing was done about it until last week when this whole money thing came up.

Anyway, I just wanted to jump in here (I have been waiting 3 days for my account to be approved!) and try to clear up the mess a little bit.

As for you guys calling him a troll and what not... back off, it is 100000% true.

Why not just use his account, or why didn't he respond. This is even weirder.

Hmmm. A professional teacher with 30 years experience, and the OP's son had to help him craft a letter?

Nope.

I'm going to hit that little, "stop watching this topic" button now.

Directors read these threads all the times, and the OP's boss probably knows about it. Sacheon is a small town, and directors know oneanother quite well from what I've come to understand. Posting this topic was not the best move by the OP.

He has already been terminated and he will be at my apartment tomorrow, so what the hell does it matter? As for the toolshed above who still fails to beleive me... get bent.

I have no reason to make this stuff up, and I wrote the letter for him because I am quite good at that sort of thing and he was WAY too pissed to try and make something come across as respectful, and I really cannot blame him.

If you are ever in or near Yongsan, give me a call at 0505-724-7637 and I wll be happy to prove your butt wrong.

He is an experienced teacher...and he cannot control himself long enough to write a letter of complaint?

He is a teacher with 30 years of experience and cannot "type well" and has to ask his son to type for him?

Come on, you have to admit this is full of holes through which you could drive a freight train without anyone noticing.

In the end...the "situation" is now resolved (quick turnaround from your last post of a few hours ago where you asked what should be done but hey) so this experienced teacher (no doubt with full professional credentials) will have time to calm down, find a proper job and post about it clearly and professionaly right?
