Basically I only miss Mexican food. Man.. I REALLLLLY miss Mexican food. And don't tell me about some Pancho's or other Korean equivalent. There's nothing in Korea that can compare to even the worst Mexican restaurant I visited back home. The $5 lunch special: chimichanga, burrito, taco, beans rice, iced tea. All served in 3 minutes or less from the time of order. Damn. Damn damn damn. Damn da damn damn. I do miss Mexican food, or whatever it is they serve at M restaurants in USA.

I just returned to K-land to start my second contract after three weeks back home. I went home with just a carry-on and returned with 140 lb of food-stuff that is impossible to obtain here (too much to be specific). Very Happy

When I get back to Korea, I will miss Cuban food.

When I was in school (Tampa, Florida) back in the early 90's, we would eat the "Lechon Asado" - a shredded pork dish with the yellow rice. It was the most amazingly delicioso food in the world. It would melt in your mouth and go down with such a great aftertaste in your mouth- you'd just have to have it again day after day.

I haven't been to Korea yet but PLEASE tell me they have good hamburgers (or at least ground beef). After spending 2 1/2 weeks in Japan without a real hamburger I almost went crazy. I love all kinds of food but there's just something psychologically NECESSARY about hamburgers for me... if I don't have one every couple of weeks I start to think about them all the time...

Speaking of which, it's about that time:p

California Pizza Kitchen's Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza, Chili's Lettuce Wraps, and Arby's jalapeno poppers. When I went home for 3 weeks at had each at least twice!!!
Never can say I've had a craving for a burger but TGIF's does a darn good job here in Korea if you've gotta have one.

Funny...I had my best ever hamburger in Japan...

Can't remember the chain.Sounded like tomato or something.

Japanese really piss me off with their tomato-sauce stinginess. As for the beer "rule" of 30% air...what a jip.

Could you put some whisky in there? Is there room?"Hai!"

Fill it up with beer then! You just said there's space! Japanese humming and hawing....

Go on ,show us your *beep*.Ok.Just 1 .Look at how reasonable I am ,I've halved my request!(merely thought....anyhoo,getting distracted)

Anyhoo,Costco has beef mince, make your own patties.NEVER seen buns here, but you could use sourdough slices.

Guess we're getting into sarnie territory......

Beef here is very expensive. I have yet to find a GOOD hamburger in country. The closest I have come to a decent hamburger was a few years ago at Geckos.

Speaking of Arby's, I occasionally* find myself in the mood for a Bacon Beef 'n Cheddar.

*This periodic craving never occurs within the United States. It is only after I have departed that I think 'Wow, I really wish I had blown seven-goddamn-fifty on a Bacon Beef 'n Cheddar meal set.'

NA style Chinese Food (sweet n sour chicken balls, chow mein noodles, garlic spare ribs, beef n broccoli... etc!)

Hot Fudge sundaes

Fresh homemade bread
