Do you remember a couple years ago when the Steelers were 15-1 and Rothlesberger didn't lose a single regular season game?
What game did they lose? The opener. Maddux was starting.
Don't bet Steelers on opening day. They never win. |

Actually they went 15-1 in 2004. And they lost the second game of the season they won the opener. Maddox played the opener and the part of the second game. Then Big Ben took over.
Steelers haven't lost an opening game since 2002. Check it out. |

Steelers starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had an emergency appendectomy today and will miss the season opener Thursday against the Miami Dolphins.
Roethlisberger was absent when the Steelers took the practice field at 3:30 p.m. today and team officials said later that he had emergency abdominal surgery to remove his appendix.
Roethlisberger will be out at least a week. Backup quarterback Charlie Batch will start against the Dolphins.

Thankfully, the Dolphins still blow. |

You were right Otis don't bet the steelers opening weekend if you don't like winning money.
Their backup quaterback started and they still won the game. Damn. Way to go Miami on getting Dante and Harrington. You've got a winning combo of quaterbacks there. |
