So far, so good: always paid on time and in full. Looking forward to payday this week, should be a day early with the holiday. |

Only been here a few months, but so far I've always been paid in full, on time. Thank goodness, because usually when payday comes around I am really hurting financially. |

Hello everybody! I am really glad someone posted this poll. I am looking for a job in Korea soon, and have seen many troubling posts on this subject. I would almost expect to see a higher percentage not getting paid in full from what I have read on here. However, perhaps that is because the people not getting paid are the ones who have something to say. Just wondering if anyone (from what they have seen and experienced beyond the forum) has any thoughts on how accurate this pole is in gestimating percentages of people not paid. Also, clearly if you do your best to research the hagwon and e-mail teachers, your odds of ending up in a reputable hagwon increase. How much effect do you think this really has in ending up in a decent situation with regular, reliable pay? It is really difficult to get an accurate view of all this from way over here in the States. I am very adaptable and don't expect the moon. However, all of these posts about being stiffed by directors has me kind of scared!!!! |
