I didn't watch it, but I'm not opposed to the concept.

That was disgusting. It happened on Geumnamro in Gwangju according to the clip. Bus drivers can be real asses but I have never seen a bus driver do anything to deserve that.

I don't if this particular bus driver deserved what he got (and it looks like he didn't), but as a scooter rider I can tell you that there most definitely are SOME bus drivers that deserve a similar beating.

Yeah I guess I might have a similar outlook if I rode a motorbike or whatever.

Both of them should be in jail. The psycho-bully and the bus driver, if, as it says on youtube, he was so drunk he couldn't drive anymore.

My wife remembers this story on the Korean news. She said the attacker defended himself by saying he had had a very stressful day and that, anyway, it was only a bus driver.

What happened to the guy? Was he charged and convicted?

The title of the video says the bus driver was drunk...if so, he deserved a beating. He's at the helm of a 30-odd foot projectile through one of the most densely-populated countries in the world. Better a bruised bus driver than a crowd of mowed-down pedestrians.

On another note, that's the first time I've ever seen a policeman in Korea assert himself.

Well because he wasnt your typical 20 yar old boy doing cop duy because he cant go to the service. That cop looked like an American cop in stature. The bully deerved to get punked and the cop hopefully landed a few on the guy.

Chances are there were 10 of those poofsters standing outside the bus with their thumbs in their mouths, debating on whether or not to do "rock, scissors, paper" to determine which of them should try asking the guy to please stop.

Very very likely. They decided to call for backup I guess.

i wonder if the driver was actually drunk. i actually saw this on another (kinda innapropriate) site, then checked it out on youtube. the first site said nothing of the driver being drunk. i think youtube takes liberties from time to time. the bus driver was probably not defending himself because he knows there's a big payoff if he doesn't throw any punches.

pretty sick though.

...but i'd still like to see this with an adam sandler voice-over...

Absolutely disgusting. I've never seen anything like that. I hope the dude got some serious time for that. If the driver was drunk it's the state's responsibility to punish him. Vigilante violence like that is not tolerable in any civilized society. Unfortunately there was probably two dozen Koreans standing outside watching and doing nothing. Not my business to get involved... Never been formally introduced to the bus driver. Rolling Eyes
