Do you teach with a projector, computer, and screen? if so, there are unlimited activities for you to use. Online sound recordings, quizzes, videos, pictures, and so on. I even play Youtube.com video clips to my students and ask them questions about them.
If you don't have that..then just do a bit of everything: pronunciation drills, dialogues, checking questions..and yes, normally 1 game per lesson, not longer than 5 minutes.helps keep them alert. |

Yes that sounds like a great tool. I have heard some teachers (some in my TESOL class) complain that doing such things is a short cut or not real teaching. I dont agree, kids today come from a media rich world and it only makes sense to teach in an environment that they can relate to.
Unfortunately, I will be traveling from classroom to classroom in four different buildings. I have my laptop, but no other gear available. |

The rooms should have a computer and large-screen monitor in them. But trust me, it sure sucks when the technology fails - be sure to have back-up activities for when it does. |
