Actually those big grapes are muscadines. Skin? Yes. |

The most nutrition is in the peel: grapes, apples, potatoes, carrots.
I've never met a man who peels grapes, but I'm sure one or two exist. Probably accountants. |

Cleopatra had her grapes peeled for: "Peel me a grape!"
Korean grapes are awful and I never eat 'em at all - as omeone said, juicing grapes. Ever tried to eat wine grapes? Shudder.
Other grapes, yes, skins eaten of course. |

I totally agree with you. I don't generally eat them. But, I've just got my hands on a box of grapes that were organically grown at a farm in my neighborhood. Still juicing grapes, but they taste a lot better than usual. I eat the peel. That's where the polyphenols are located. |

At my old school, the other teachers (all Koreans) would spit out the peel. They said they were afraid of the pesticides. |

If washed well, they should be fine, I think. |

Yes or no to skins?
Neither. Sometimes I eat 'em, but often not.
I've learnt how to suck the flesh of the grape out in one, so it's less messy and besides I too am a bit put off by the pesticides thing. The skin always seems to retain that white stuff on it even after a good wash. But the skin is delicious and sometimes I'll eat it and I haven't developed two heads yet.
K-grapes are great if you ask me. But because they're so sugary they give me toothache afterwards, which I hate. |

I have no problems with the skins, it's the damn seeds I can live without. Are there seedless grapes here? I haven't seen any, nor seedless watermelons for that matter. |

Na-do.
Most korean grapes ARE the juicing or wine-type varietal. Only good enough on the inside. |

Let me get this straight. They're afraid of pesticides, so they get rid of the skins after having put them in their mouths?!
As another poster said, there's a lot of nutrition in them: vitamins, minerals, fibre, etc. I also worry about pesticides, but I wash them with soap and then rinse. |

Korean grapes skin is tough, difficult to chew, so no, for those grapes, I don't eat the skin.
Other grapes, however, I do. |

They are no harder to chew than kimchi. |
