100% for sure I would. There's no way I wouldn't want more years of experience even if it meant being back in Calgary again. Childhood was great and high school was even better.
I'm not sure what the actual rules are for this though. Something I've always imagined is what I would do if one day I woke up in my 8-year old body back in 1987 with everything I knew now and what I would do. That would be dope. |

However, if reliving my childhood again in the same exact manner is what you meant, I would vote for absolutely not.
Peace,

No just go back and relive a childhood. You could change anything you wanted.
I personally was like Peri; I got bullied every single day of my life as a kid. I was way to quiet and the other kids knew that I wouldn't defend myself when they picked on me. I generally just cried and gradually developed a self loathing that haunts me till this day. It's so sad really what childhood can do and how it affects you into adulthood.
I've been home on occasion and have seen the people that harrased me as a kid, and it always makes me feel damn good! I went to college where I had a frickin' blast, graduated with honors in a worth while major from a great Uni, have had a good career, and married an awesome guy who I completely trust. Most of the ones that were mean to me now live in a trailer, never went to college, and have 2.5 kids on welfare.
This sounds crazy but sometimes I feel like I owe those people. They're the ones that drove me to better myself and to actually get a life. I could have easily ended up like them if I hadn't told myself that I would make something of myself to spite them. I saw one of those girls recently in a supermarket who had actually told me that I would stay in Brunswick County, N.C and end up being a nobody. She came up to me dragging 2 kids behind and had gained about 50 lbs. I gladly told her about my life, our house, and my accomplishments in the 10 years since graduation from High School. It felt soooo good.
Man, I'm a spiteful Beyatch!!! |
That girl at the supermarket sounds like a nasty beyatch!!! You should have slapped her! |
Nah, I figured her life sucked enough and I'm not gonna stoop that low or give anyone the satisfaction. Actually, I pretend that I don't remember any of the crap I put up with in school. It's better that way me thinks. |

| Everybody's already said everything I think on this subject. No, I wouldn't want to relive my childhood. I like being able to do what I want. I like being able to refuse if people tell me to do things I don't want to do. I like knowing more about life, and I'd never want to go back to the ignorance I had as a child, especially if it meant I'd have to relearn everything all over again. And there's no way I'd want to spend even one day back in junior high or high school. |

Relive no, redo with my current knowledge, hell ya. Even if I had to go through the bad times again, they would be better as I am wiser, and 10 years of bad times for all the good times plus tailoring my education exactly how I want it Sign me up. |

| Imagine though being a kid, and knowing all the things you know now. If I knew wharee my passions would develop, what my strengths and weaknesses are, what I shoudl do for a futire id be 100% happy with, hell yeah Id go through all the crap. If I knew at 10 what i know now, there would be no stopping me. id probably just apply for university anyway with all the knowledge I have from the education Ive done. Skip highschool and all the crap associated with it. |

Going back to childhood would add a lot of extra years to our lives, so let's imagine a more even scenario:
Those who would go back, imagine you only had 10-15 years left to live, whether you went back or not.
Would you really rather spend your last decade or so as a child again? I wouldn't! |

I don't think the OP was thinking like that. I think he meant to add the years on, actually change your body but leave your mind the same |

I had a blissful childhood until the age of about 11.
What I'd really like to relieve, with the knowledge I have now, is my University years and after. I was just too disconnected from family, support or good ideas. Wasted a lot of that time living under illusions. |

| Moldy rutabaga, I'd post Bruce Springsteen's lyrics to "Glory Days", but the one time I went to a song lyrics site, I somehow picked up a nasty worm/trojan (can't remember the difference), so no more song lyrics postings for me... =( |

I wish I could go back to the beginning of high school and start lifting weights. Something I never started doing until I was in my 20's.
Thus I remained a virgin throughout my teens. Still kind of bitter about it. |

Just to relive it? Hell no, never. If I could change some things yeah, maybe. With all my current knowledge in a child's body? Absolutely.
Most of the people that pestered me in school are now fat, balding, too many kids and on welfare. One kid that was a football all-star is now on death row for killing a woman he was stalking and then having sex with her dead body. |

I remembered waiting for what seemed an agonizingly long time for my driver's licence. That was a long wait, especially since I was driving as a preteen on the farm and knew sort of what it would be like. As a kid I was always yearning to become an adult. As an adult I wish I was a kid again. That might explain why I act like a kid. The wife is always asking when I'm going to grow up. Yeah right.
One thing I'd do is I'd join more sports. I'm a sports nut, but you wouldn't know it from how I acted as a kid. Just a fucking trouble-making pain in the dongku. |
